Halloween
This year for Halloween, we had a few surfers. Cort and Woods wore their surf shirts and board shorts, and Daddy built Cort his first Surfboard. Cort Loved to carry it around, and on occassion try to hit people with it. We went to Prestonwood Baptist Church Halloween night and Cort got lost in the sea of bounce houses. He could have stayed there for days. There were a few Harleys parked inside the play areas and Cort got his first chance to "ride" one.

Corts First Day of School
Today was Cort's first day of school (mothers day out). We built it up to him like he was going to school, he was real excited.....until he got there and had to say goodbye to Mommy. He was a little sad at first, so was mom, but then had a big day of exploring and meeting new friends. Here is his First Day of School picture.

Labor Day Weekend
Labor Day weekend was spent at Possum Kingdom Lake. We spent the weekend with Wess, Corri, McKay and Owen at Corri's parents lake house. On Saturday John and Wess went dove hunting while Mom and the boys hung out with their cousins, Aunt Corri, Addy (Corri's sister Kelsey) and the baby whisperer Mimo (Corri's Mom). We hung out and played in the yard, saw a ton of deer, made smores by the fire at night and went out on the boat and swam in the lake. Cort loved swimming in the pool, playing in the yard, throwing rocks into the lake, and jumping off the boat. Woods spent alot of time indoors with the girls laying around (which he does real well), hangin' out with the boys, and cuddling with Mimo and Addy. He did make a few trips to the pool. Cort was a little sick and ran a fever for a few days but that didn't keep him out of the water...He loves the water.

Family Cookout at DeDe and Poppa's
This weekend we had a family cookout at DeDe and Poppa's house. Wess, Corri, McKay and Owen, made the trip over to Dallas and we had a big family meal, complete with homeade ice cream (that the boys loved). Woods got to snuggle up with everyone in the family, and he really loves hangin out with his cousins McKay and Owen, and snuggling with Aunt Corri. We threw the three big boys in the bath together for a few more minutes of chaos.

At Home
Monday Morning, Last day at Baylor
Today was a pretty laid back day. We pretty much packed everything up and said goodbye to all of the staff who take care of us the last few days. Dad and Cort, had a special breakfast together and playtime before Woods was brought home for good. Aunt Wendy came up all day on Monday to hang with Woods and help get everything ready to go. We loaded everything up, and then spent some time tryng to figure out how to get something so small into a carseat. It didn't seem that hard with Cort.

Sunday at the Hospital
The hospital stay seemed to go by pretty quick. Sunday alot of our friends and family came by. We really appreciate everyone coming to the hospital to support us and welcome Woods into the world. Wess, Corri and the other Peterson boys spent quite some time hanging with Woods. It was alot of fun and a little chaos, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Uncle Chip and Aunt JoJo kicked it with us as well, Chip really likes posing with Woods.

"WOODS" (Woodrow Miles Peterson) BIRTH
Today, August 11, 2007, 6:20pm Woods was born at Baylor Medical Center here in Dallas. He weighed in at 7lbs 13oz, and is 20.5 inches long.
We came in this morning at 7:30am, after Audrey had about two hours of contractions that were right on top of each other. She progressed a little at first but then labor took a hiatus for a little bit. Our doctor decided that it would be best to break her water and keep this process rolling along. After some time had passed Audrey was complete but the doctor noticed that Woods was sunny side up (face up, and he needed to be face down). She reached up there and turned him but he fought it. We thought that he was finally settled and after about 20 minutes she decided to check and make sure all was well before Audrey started pushing. Woods flipped back! At that point the only option was to try and turn as she pushed, hoping that he would make the move and not get stuck in the process. He did great, fought a little but then conceded, and with about 25 minutes of pushing he was out. You will notice in the pictures he has lots of bruising on his face and forehead due to the turning process, but it has already started to go away. Cort was a little apprehensive at first, but then loved holding his little brother. He even tried to help clear out his nose. We look forward to this new Journey with two.
